As JCI Metro Cebu Uptown is about to Celebrate it's Silver Anniversary next year. A new set of officers and boards were elected last Sept. 17, 2009 at Grand Convention Center, Arch. Bishop Reyes, Brgy. Luz, Cebu City. Heading the JCI Metro Cebu Uptown 2010 Silver Anniversary is JCI Engr. Carlos T. Porras Jr. who was elected as Incoming LOM President. In celebration of Chapter's Silver Year who's known as "Party Animal Chapter", the newly elected President promised the chapter that "it's Drink 'til you drop" in every Uptown's fellowship night throughout the year.

JCI Metro Cebu Uptown Jaycess went to Marcelo Fenan Bridge, Cebu City last July 11, 2009 for the Coastal Clean Up Project led by LOM Pres Michael David. Children and parents under its neighborhood in Marcelo Fernan Bridge went of participate and help make the place clean and free on garbage polution.

CEBU, Philippines - The Ed Latonio-led Mandaue Jaycees Team A dealt Rich Media of Richard Mercado its first defeat, 79-65, in the 2009 Jaycees Basketball Association (JBA) season at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

The Mandaue Jaycees went off to a hot start, 25-12, behind the hot hands of ex-USC Warrior Nestor Patindol and bull-strong center Lord Ong. Patindol finished the game with 23 points.

Rich Media threatened in the fourth period, but Mandaue Jaycees thwarted what would have been an inevitable disgrace.

The Mandaue Jaycees, thus, joined its victim on top of the leaderboard with identical 3-1 win-loss records.

Beboy Potencioso paced Rich Media with 15 points.

CEBU, Philippines - The Uptown Jaycees Foundation led by playing coach Dr. Boy Te rebuffed the Arcason and Son Construction and Development Corp. of Reeve Jumawan for its third straight victory in as many games in the 14th Junior Chamber International (JCI) Metro Cebu Uptown Jaycees basketball tournament at the City Sports Club-Cebu gym.

The Uptown Jaycees trailed by six points going into the final period, 60-66, but closed the game with a 31-18 bang to turn the tables in Arcason at the final buzzer.

MACK Mayer Printers/Home Savers Depot shocked Arcason & Son Construction and Dev. Corp., 75-73, Sunday night at the start of the 14th Junior Chamber International Basketball Association (JBA)-2009 basketball tournament at the City Sports Club gym.

Arcason dominated the Printers in the first three periods and most of the fourth before top gunner Voltair Rosal nailed a buzzer-beating perimeter jumper to snatch the win.

Rosal had l8 points while slotman Elmer Laguna, John Sulay and Klein Baladya combined for 31 points. Kent Kangleon had 16 markers for Arcason.
