The new executive officers of JCI Metro Cebu Uptown will be inducted in a ceremony at the Casino Espanol de Cebu on March 15, with Joey de Venecia as guest speaker. This year's executive officers are president Donato Gonzalez, immediate past president Christian Paro-an, executive vice president Dexter So, vice president-internal Abe Sy, vice president-external Chad Quezon, secretary general Joel Si, treasurer Michael David. The Metro Cebu Uptown Jaycees led by group president lawyer Donato Gonzales and the municipality of Bien Unido, Bohol headed by Mayor Niño Rey Boniel will bring the Hagwa Festival to Cebu for the Sinulog Grand Parade on Jan. 20.

The contingent composed of students from Carlos P. Garcia High School in Bien Unido, Bohol and the Holy Child Academy will not only introduce Bien Unido as the “Seaweeds Capital of the Visayas” and promoting their Hagwa Festival, but will also attempt to be hailed as the 2008 Sinulog Festival Street Dancing Champion.
